Overview
Disc dryer as an indirect heating drying equipment has been used in the chemical industry, food industry and feed industry for decades. The main body of the disc dryer is composed of a cylindrical shell and a set of discs through the center. The heat medium flows through the hollow disc group and transfers heat indirectly to the material through the discs. The material passing between the disc and the shell is heated by the heat conduction of the disc and evaporates water. The water vapor formed by drying is gathered in the dome above the disc and taken out of the dryer by a small amount of hot air. The disc dryer uses the double-sided heat transfer of each disc to provide a large heat exchange area in a small space, which makes the disc dryer compact.
Working principle
Disc dryer is mainly composed of stator (shell), rotor (turntable) and driving device. The central shaft of the rotor is the bearing part of the drying turntable. It is a hollow shaft on which all the turntables are welded. The disc dryer uses the propulsion and stirring of the edge of the turntable, and the wet material is evenly and slowly transported through the entire dryer, and is dried by the thermal contact with the turntable. During the drying process, the hot steam condenses on the inner wall of the rotating disc cavity to form condensed water. Condensate water is introduced into the central pipe through a pipe, and finally out of the dryer through the outlet groove. A scraper is installed between each two turntables, and the scraper is fixed on the housing (stator). The scraper can loosen the material between the discs and make the waste steam leave the sludge quickly.
Performance characteristics
The rotor and cylinder of the horizontal disc dryer are compact and reasonable in design, with low space occupancy, large heat transfer area per unit volume of the dryer, and fast drying speed. Unit effective volume has a large heat exchange surface, the equipment size can be reduced, and the processing time can be shortened.
The spindle rotates at a uniform speed, the material is evenly stirred, the drying force is uniform, and the product particle size is uniform.
By adjusting the rotation speed, process (intermittent or continuous) and drying time, the adjustable sludge drying effect can obtain different final moisture content, such as reducing the moisture content of sludge from about 80% to 40%,30%,25%, etc.
High thermal efficiency, good mixing and stir-frying effect, better stir-frying performance of 4 to 8 plates per disc, and automatic cleaning function of double-axis rotating disc plates.
Drying particles have strong regularity of movement and less wear on devices, which is suitable for drying and drying equipment for sludge materials.
The heating disc is pressed as a whole and has less welding seams, strong corrosion resistance and wear resistance, small running resistance of the disc and small vibration of the equipment. The two-axis inlay method can make the blade drive the material to form a thin layer of material to achieve the effect of thin layer heat exchange.
The relative rotation of the two shafts and the action of the scraper can scrape off a large amount of adhesive materials stuck on the rotor, keep the heat exchange surface clean and automatically clean, and ensure the stability of the heat exchange effect.
Wide range of processing materials: it can be widely used in granules, powder and viscous materials. It can be dried for materials with high and low moisture content, continuous operation or gap operation. It is a drying equipment with high applicability and energy saving.
Low energy consumption: the spindle speed bottom, the material transfer system needs less power, less power consumption. Conductive heat drying, high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption. 1.1~1.2 steam/kg/water.
